Sooo Brody went to visit his honey and grandpa for the weekend, so me and Sergio had the weekend to ourselves! It was nice to sleep in and spend some quality time just me and him since we haven't since the day before Brody was born. So we spent our weekend going to see two movies, ride go carts and playing scrabble and ps3. But I really missed my little boy! It's soo crazy to me to think that a year ago I couldn't see life with a kid but now my whole world doesn't feel complete without him around! I felt like that crazy mom who calls and texts about 100 times a day and I'm not ashamed to say IM PROUD OF IT! :)
We spent today just being lazy and watching TV as a family (yes Brody watched too!) and right now as Sergio is playing COD and Brody is jumping in his jumper, I couldn't be happier! Two see both of the boys who have my heart playing in front of me is the best feeling in the world!
My husband who taught me the meaning of this holiday! So many years I saw Independence Day as a day to watch fireworks and hangout but now I see the true meaning of it! To see my husband survive stepping on a land mine, that had plenty of explosives on it to do much worse than it did, and luckily did not go off and come home safely to me, I thank God that He was there with him that day! It kills me when Sergio talks about the possibility of not getting to run with Brody one day or not returning to the job he loves soo much! It's because of men and women like my husband that we are able to have the freedom we continue to have today! I love you more than you know Sergio and am so proud of you!
And the other greatest thing is my Brodyboy! The biggest blessing in the world! I thank God everyday for this little boy, the boy who showed me what happiness truly is! The boy that showed me a tiny smile can melt my heart faster than anything else! The sweetest laugh I've ever heard comes from a 20 pound little boy! I love seeing him grow and learning something new every single day! It's crazy to me that next month he will be six months old!!!! Soon he will be crawling and getting into EVERYTHING, holding his own bottle (hopefulllyyy! lol) and in just a few more months learning to walk and saying ma ma!
God blessed me this past year with not only Sergio and Brody but Godly parents that have stood behind me 100% in absolutely everything!!!! Who love my son and spoil him every chance they get! My relationship with my mom is more of a bestfriend now, of course we still have that mother daughter thing but I love that she is also my friend now! Three amazing sisters who love me and accept me for exactly who I am! And of course two of the bestfriends I could ever ask for, who treat my son like he really is their blood nephew and have never left my side not once! One who got to see my son being born and cried right along with me when we saw him and heard him first cry! And both of them who continue to keep me sane!
BASICALLY, I LOVE MY LIFE! <3
